‘Caribbean climate’ driving Cape Verde investment
Overseas property investment in the Cape Verde islands is being driven by the fact that it is being marketed as “the nearest Caribbean to Europe”, Buy Association has said.
The advice website has suggested that the islands’ climate is a key factor in its current popularity, along with the opening up of direct flight routes.
Furthermore, those looking to stay on the cusp of investment trends should consider looking at environmentally-friendly properties in the area, the website added.
“It is popular with developers and they’ve been able to exploit the fact that the weather is quite similar to that in the Caribbean. So it’s being marketed as the nearest Caribbean to Europe,” said Buy Association overseas property editor Paul Collins.
“The whole idea of eco tourism has been growing in the last five years anyway and it will carry on growing as people get more and more conscious of their carbon footprint and what impact they have on an area. They will be looking to buy property in developments that do look after the environment around them,” Mr Collins added.
